Sparklyn – Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 07/11/2026]
Welcome to Sparklyn. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you use the Sparklyn website, mobile application and cleaning-booking services.
Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account or making a booking.
By creating an account or using Sparklyn, you agree to the terms that apply to your use of the platform. When you make a booking, additional terms relating to that particular service will also apply.
Nothing in these Terms affects any legal rights you have as a consumer.

  1. About Sparklyn
    Sparklyn is operated by:
Legal business name: Sparklyn Cleaning Limited
    Company registration number: 15589150
Registered office: 406 Brighton Road Croydon CR2 6AN
Trading address: 406 Brighton Road Croydon CR2 6AN
    Email: info@sparklyncleanning.co.uk & booking@sparklyncleanning.co.uk
    Website: https://sparklyncleaning.co.uk
In these Terms, “Sparklyn”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business identified above.
“You” and “your” refer to a customer or visitor using the Sparklyn platform.
    Important: Sparklyn’s legal role
[Confirm whether Sparklyn contracts directly with customers to provide cleaning services, or operates as an intermediary connecting customers with independent cleaning providers. The final wording in this section must accurately describe the actual business and payment arrangements.]
If Sparklyn acts as an intermediary, the identity of the cleaning provider and the party responsible for supplying the service will be made clear before the customer confirms a booking.
  2. About the Sparklyn platform
Sparklyn provides an online platform through which customers can request and arrange cleaning services.
Depending on the service and booking arrangements, the platform may allow you to:
Create and manage a customer account.
    View available cleaning services.
    Submit a cleaning request.
Select a preferred date and time.
    Receive a booking confirmation.
    Communicate with the assigned cleaner.
View booking information and service status.
    Submit feedback or a review.
    Contact customer support.
Availability, service coverage and booking options may vary by location.
Submitting a booking request does not necessarily mean that a cleaner has accepted the booking. A booking is confirmed when Sparklyn communicates confirmation through the app, website or email.
  3. Creating and maintaining your account
You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account or making a booking.
    You are responsible for:
    Keeping your login details secure.
Maintaining access to your registered email address and telephone number.
    Updating information that becomes inaccurate.
Not allowing another person to misuse your account.
Informing us if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must not create an account using false information or impersonate another person.
We may restrict or suspend an account where we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently, unlawfully or in breach of these Terms.
  4. Booking a cleaning service
When making a booking, you may be asked to provide:
    The type of cleaning required.
    The property location.
    The preferred date and time.
    The expected duration.
    Relevant information about the property.
    Access instructions where necessary.
Information about pets or other circumstances relevant to the service.
Please ensure that the information supplied is accurate.
You should not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in booking notes or access instructions.
We will communicate whether a booking has been accepted, declined or requires further information.
Any changes to an accepted booking must be made through the available booking process or by contacting customer support.
  5. Prices and payments
The applicable price will be displayed before you confirm your booking.
    The booking information will identify:
    The service requested.
The applicable hourly rate or fixed price.
The expected duration or price calculation.
    Any additional charges.
The total amount payable, including applicable taxes.
    The accepted payment method.
No optional additional charge should be applied without the appropriate customer agreement.
Payment processing may be handled by an external payment provider. Your payment details may be processed by that provider under its own terms and privacy information.
We do not intend to collect or store complete payment-card details in the Sparklyn application.
The party responsible for charging you, issuing invoices and processing refunds will be identified in the booking and payment information.
  6. Cleaning services
The cleaning service must be performed with reasonable care and skill, as required by applicable consumer law.
The agreed service description, duration and booking details will form part of the service arrangement.
You should make sure the property is reasonably accessible and that the cleaner can safely carry out the agreed work.
A cleaner may decline to carry out work that is unsafe, unlawful or materially different from the agreed service.
Any additional work outside the agreed booking must be discussed and agreed before it is undertaken or charged.
  7. Property access, safety and pets
You are responsible for providing accurate access instructions where access is necessary for the booking.
    Please ensure that:
Access instructions are accurate and current.
The cleaner can enter the property safely.
Any relevant hazards are disclosed in advance.
Pets are appropriately secured where necessary.
Valuable or fragile items are reasonably protected.
Access codes, keys and security information must only be shared through the appropriate booking process.
Cleaners must use customer access information only for the authorised service and must not disclose or reuse it for unrelated purposes.
If the property is unsafe or access cannot reasonably be obtained, the cleaner may contact Sparklyn to discuss the booking.
Any resulting cancellation or payment adjustment will be handled under the applicable cancellation terms and statutory rights.
  8. Customer cancellations and changes
You may request cancellation or a change to a booking through the Sparklyn application or by contacting customer support.
The applicable cancellation charges, if any, will be clearly communicated before the booking is confirmed.
Cancellation charges will not be applied where they would conflict with your statutory rights.
If a cleaner cannot attend or a booking must be cancelled by Sparklyn or the cleaning provider, you will be informed and any refund or alternative arrangement will be handled in accordance with the booking terms and applicable law.
Your statutory right to cancel online bookings
Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply, you generally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract for services, starting from the day the contract is entered into.
If you request that a cleaning service starts during that 14-day period:
You must expressly request the early start.
You may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation.
You will lose the statutory right to cancel on completion of the service only where the legal conditions for that loss of right have been satisfied, including the required acknowledgement.
Your statutory cancellation rights will not be reduced by any shorter cancellation period shown elsewhere in these Terms.
How to exercise your cancellation right
    To cancel, contact:
    Email: [Insert cancellation/support email]
Please include your name, booking reference and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
You may also use the following model cancellation wording:
“I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following cleaning service:
    Customer name:
    Booking reference:
    Booking date:
    Date of cancellation request:”
  9. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the applicable payment method wherever reasonably possible.
The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, repeat-performance or price-reduction rights you may have under consumer law.
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact customer support with your booking reference and details of the issue.
  10. Customer responsibilities
    You agree to:
Provide accurate booking and property information.
Treat cleaners and Sparklyn staff respectfully.
Provide safe and reasonable access to the property.
    Communicate relevant safety information.
Avoid abusive, discriminatory, threatening or unlawful conduct.
Use the platform only for legitimate cleaning-service bookings.
Avoid sharing another person’s personal information without permission.
You must not use Sparklyn to arrange unlawful activities or request services that are outside the agreed cleaning service.
  11. Cleaners and service providers
The identity and role of the cleaning provider will be communicated as part of the booking process.
Where a cleaner or cleaning provider is a separate contracting party, the applicable contractual responsibilities will be explained before the booking is confirmed.
Sparklyn may undertake account, identity, eligibility or other checks on cleaning providers as part of its platform processes.
Any description of checks or verification must reflect the checks actually performed. Sparklyn does not promise that a person is risk-free or that every possible background check has been completed.
  12. Complaints and service issues
If you are dissatisfied with a cleaning service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
    Customer support email: [Insert email]
    Please provide:
    Your booking reference.
    The date of the service.
    A description of the issue.
    Relevant supporting information, where available.
We will review the information and communicate the next steps.
Where appropriate, we may contact the cleaning provider to investigate the issue.
Nothing in this complaints process prevents you from exercising your statutory rights.
  13. Damage, loss and incidents
If you believe that damage, loss, injury or another serious incident has occurred during a cleaning service, please contact Sparklyn promptly.
Provide relevant details and any available supporting evidence.
We will review the report and, where appropriate, contact the relevant service provider.
Responsibility for damage, loss or injury will be determined according to the applicable contract and law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
  14. Reviews and feedback
You may be able to submit a review or feedback about a completed service.
Reviews must be honest, relevant and based on your genuine experience.
    You must not:
    Submit fabricated reviews.
    Impersonate another customer.
    Submit reviews intended to mislead.
Include another person’s private information without a proper reason.
Use threatening, discriminatory or unlawful language.
Sparklyn may moderate or remove content that breaches these requirements.
Where reviews are displayed publicly, Sparklyn will take appropriate steps to avoid misleading customers about their authenticity.
  15. Personal information and privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy:
    https://sparklyncleaning.co.uk/privacy-policy/
    The Privacy Policy explains:
    What personal information we collect.
    Why we use it.
How information is shared with cleaners and service providers.
    How long information is retained.
    How we protect personal information.
How you can exercise your data-protection rights.
Customer contact details, property addresses and access instructions are shared only as necessary for authorised service delivery and other documented purposes.
You should not send payment-card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information through booking notes or chat messages.
  16. Platform availability and acceptable use
We aim to make Sparklyn available and functioning reliably.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical issues, internet connectivity or third-party service interruptions may affect availability.
    You must not:
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform.
Interfere with its security or operation.
    Upload malicious software.
    Misuse another person’s account.
Use automated methods to access the platform without permission.
Use Sparklyn in breach of applicable law.
We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, cleaners, the platform or the public.
  17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, business operations or legal requirements.
Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued or alter an existing contract without an appropriate legal basis and agreement where required.
The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last updated.
  18. Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts:
Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable.
Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
    Your statutory consumer rights.
Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Where Sparklyn is responsible for supplying a service, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 include the right to have the service performed with reasonable care and skill.
Any limitation of liability must operate only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  19. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Sparklyn and request account deletion through the available account-deletion process.
We may suspend or terminate access where there is a reasonable basis to believe that an account is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively or in serious breach of these Terms.
Account deletion and the handling of personal information will be governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
Some records may need to be retained where required by law or where a documented lawful purpose applies.
  20. Third-party services
Sparklyn may use third-party providers to support payment processing, communications, hosting, authentication and other platform functions.
Those providers may operate under their own terms and privacy information.
We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services except where applicable law provides otherwise.
  21. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of [confirm applicable UK jurisdiction].
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections and rights available under the laws of the country in which you live.
